The Arab Media Arts Lab offers a series of specialized training course designed exclusively for actors, focusing on performance techniques for both stage and camera, and enhancing their ability to respond to directorial guidance in experimental film settings.
The Workshop includes an introducing in theoretical strategies and tools for working with experimental film script. In this workshop series we will learn and experiment:
Basic strategies and tools and how to use the theatre skills in to experimental film making.
How to guide actors in non-linear or conceptual scripts
Techniques for working with silence, repetition, and minimal action
Using body, space, and rhythm as core narrative elements
Directing emotional states without classic character arcs
Collaborating with actors to explore ambiguity and symbolic expression
