Synopsis
Among the inhabitants of a popular district of Casablanca, we highlight the life of a hairdresser who accepts the path that has been traced. His intimate friend never ceases to teach him that struggle and resistance are the only qualities of a worthy man.
The only film by the great filmmaker Mohamed Reggab disappeared in 1990 at 48 years old. A cult film that has marked the history of Moroccan cinema.

Directors
Mohamed Reggab (1942-1990) was a Moroccan film director. He was born in Safi, Morocco and studied in France (École Supérieure Louis Lumière), Russia (All-Russian State University of Cinematography), Belgium (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and Germany.
He is best known for his sole feature film The Barber of the Poor Quarter, based on a play by Youssef Fadel.
He died in Paris while preparing to make his second feature Mémoires d’ exil.
محمد رجاب (1942ـ1990) مخرج سينمائي مغربي.
ولد في آسفي بالمغرب ودرس في فرنسا (المدرسة العليا لويس لوميير) وروسيا (جامعة عموم روسيا للتصوير السينمائي) وبلجيكا (جامعة ليبر دي بروكسيل) وألمانيا.
اشتهر بفيلمه الطويل الوحيد “حلاق درب الفقراء” ، والمبني على مسرحية يوسف فاضل.
توفي في باريس أثناء التحضير لعمل فيلمه الطويل الثاني” ذكريات المنفى.
