Arab Media Lab, together with Rooftop Films Marrakech, has launched a new independent festival: OUT OF THE FRAME – Marrakech Short Film Days. This event is dedicated to young filmmakers and mixed-media artists at the early stages of their careers—those who challenge conventional filmmaking and explore new cinematic languages and experimental approaches.
OUT OF THE FRAME: MARRAKECH SHORT FILM DAYS — CYCLE 2
Three days of bold storytelling, fresh voices, and unforgettable cinema in the heart of Marrakech.
Join us for a celebration of short films from around the world, featuring screenings, filmmaker Q&As, and conversations that go beyond the frame.
A total of 19 films by emerging directors from Morocco and abroad have been selected to compete for Best Film, Best Direction, Best Script, and Best Cinematic Innovation. While the themes vary widely, our focus has been on the creative process rather than traditional storytelling alone.
The festival will take place from JULY the 2nd to the 4th at the Arab Media Lab headquarters in Marrakech.

ويُعنى هذا الحدث بالمخرجين الشباب وفناني الوسائط المتعددة في بدايات مسارهم الفني، ممن يتحدّون الأشكال السينمائية التقليدية ويستكشفون لغات جديدة للسينما وتجارب مبتكرة.
خارج الإطار: أيام مراكش للأفلام القصيرة — الدورة الثانية
ثلاثة أيام من السرد السينمائي الجريء، والأصوات الجديدة، والسينما التي لا تُنسى في قلب مراكش.
انضموا إلينا للاحتفاء بالأفلام القصيرة من مختلف أنحاء العالم، من خلال عروض سينمائية، ولقاءات مع صُنّاع الأفلام، ونقاشات تتجاوز حدود الشاشة.
تم اختيار 19 فيلماً لمخرجين صاعدين من المغرب وخارجه، سيتنافسون على جوائز أفضل فيلم، أفضل إخراج، أفضل سيناريو، وأفضل ابتكار سينمائي. ورغم تنوّع المواضيع المطروحة، فقد كان تركيزنا الأساسي على العملية الإبداعية أكثر من السرد التقليدي.
ستُقام أيام الفيلم ما بين 02 و04 يوليوز في مقر Arab Media Lab بمراكش.
